A house fellowship begins
A small group gathers in Dundee for prayer, Bible study and fellowship, supported by the church’s parent parish in Edinburgh.
Our story
What began with prayer and a small house fellowship in 2006 has grown into a diverse congregation worshipping, learning and serving together in Dundee.
Where it began
Our local story began in March 2006, when our parent parish in Edinburgh established a house fellowship in Dundee.
It was an answer to the prayers and longing of people who wanted a place to worship, grow in faith and build Christian community. The fellowship quickly took root. By 7 May 2006, it had become RCCG Open Heavens Dundee.

The fellowship becomes RCCG Open Heavens Dundee, beginning a new chapter of regular worship and ministry in the city.
Today
We are now a multinational, intergenerational church family sharing Christ’s love through worship, discipleship and practical community care.
More than a timeline
We are called to serve the people of Dundee, share the gospel of Christ and help every generation discover the love and saving grace of Jesus.
From the earliest house-fellowship meetings to our gatherings today, prayer, the Bible, worship and care for one another have remained central to our life together.
We want to be community-relevant, open to all and attentive to the welfare of both our members and the people around us.

Part of a wider family
RCCG was founded in 1952 and has grown into a worldwide Christian family. Open Heavens Christian Centre is the Dundee expression of that family: rooted in our city, connected to believers across the United Kingdom and around the world.
