Our beliefs shape how we worship, how we live and how we serve. At their heart is the good news that God loves us and brings new life through Jesus Christ.
Our foundation
Open Heavens Christian Centre is part of The Redeemed Christian Church of God. This page offers a simple introduction to the beliefs we share.
It is not intended to replace the Bible or the church’s full statement of faith. If you have questions, you are welcome to ask them and explore with us.
We believe the Old and New Testaments are inspired by the Holy Spirit and reveal God’s truth, His will and the way of salvation.
2 Timothy 3:16–17 · Psalm 119:105We believe in one eternal God—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—Creator and giver of life, worthy of our worship and trust.
Matthew 28:19 · 2 Corinthians 13:14We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and God revealed in the flesh. Through His death and resurrection, He brings forgiveness and redemption.
John 1:1–14 · 1 Corinthians 15:3–4We believe the Holy Spirit brings new life, makes us more like Christ, guides us and gives believers power and gifts to serve.
John 14:16–17 · Acts 1:8We believe salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. In Him, we are forgiven and born again.
John 3:3 · Romans 5:1 · Ephesians 2:8–9We believe God calls and enables His people to grow in holiness, love, integrity, prayer and obedience to His Word.
Romans 12:1–2 · 1 Peter 1:15–16We believe the Church is the family of those who belong to Christ, gathered to worship, learn, share communion, care for one another and make Jesus known.
Acts 2:41–47 · Matthew 28:19–20We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the visible return of Jesus Christ and the promise of eternal life with God.
