RCCG Open Heavens Dundee
Our Story
Our story can be traced back to the house fellowship set up by our parent parish from Edinburgh in March 2006. This was in answer to the yearnings and prayers of some individuals whose absolute submission and obedience to God’s prompting contributed to the birth of our Parish. As confirmation of the divine timing, everything fell rapidly into place, such that by the 7th of May of the same year, the house fellowship had metamorphosed into a Parish.
Our Calling
We are a called out people, called to serve the people of Dundee. Our mission is to spread the gospel of Christ and to make sure every man, woman and child hears about the love of Jesus and the saving grace that is available to them. As a church, our mission is to:
- reach unsaved souls in our city with the love of God using every means possible and available;
- build up believers to realise who they are in Christ;
- focus the believer to enjoy the treasures in Christ and exercise dominion over every circumstance of life;
- build a family orientated, Community relevant, multinational and open to all congregations; and
- be a warm and loving church.
What to Expect from Us
We are a very caring community of Christians and we are committed both to ensuring the welfare of our members and also to contributing to the welfare of those around us. We hold regular meetings in the atmosphere of love and unity. Sunday Services provide an opportunity to fellowship with God and with other believers, during which we have our Sunday School, awesome praise and worship sessions and powerful ministration of the Word.
Our bible study services are a real treasure and members look forward to it eagerly every week. Wonderful testimonies also abound from our house fellowship meetings, where members come together in small groups to pray, study the bible and encourage one another. We are truly a family – join us and make a home with us.
